Child Rights and Juvenile Justice

The Omani Child Law and the Juvenile Accountability Law set out a protective framework for minors, and we act to make that protection effective. Our work includes custody, visitation and maintenance disputes centred on the child's best interests, protection measures in cases of neglect or abuse, guardianship over minors' property, and representation of juveniles at every stage of accountability proceedings. We handle these matters with discretion and sensitivity, working with families, the Public Prosecution and the competent committees to reach outcomes that safeguard the child first.
